5th and 6th Grade Basketball
The 5th and 6th grade basketball season begins in mid-October. The purpose of this team is to learn how to play the game
and work as a team. For this season all players will get close to equal playing time, with the score not being the main
concern. This is a league wide philosophy. This allows all players to develop their skills and see if they enjoy
the game. These teams will play 6-10 games a year and participate in a tournament. The tournament is a one day
event and provides a great opportunity to get to know players from the other teams. 
This year we have only one team, it is coed, so all studnets that wanted to play could this year. THe team was also opened up to the 4th grade class to give the time greater numbers.
